Reboot of 2D Sonic...Awesome!

Ever since Sonic 3 and Sonic CD people have been screaming for Sega to keep making 2D sonic games, each 3D incarnation of the series has just been plain crap, some enjoyed Sonic Adventure but overall it was proven that for Sonic to remain in the good graces of the public, he needed to stay on a 2D plain.

Well it finally looks like Sega has listened to the masses and recently released this teaser



I don't know why Sega decided to black out the logo or try make it a bit mysterious, frankly only people touched in the head or under the age of 18 aren't going to know what it is. Sonic 2 was my first console game ever and is probably the reason I'm here writing about games.

I'm really looking forward to a reboot and pray to god that they go back to the original Sonic and not that weird lanky one that's been in the recent cartoons and games.
